This class is designed to give students the freedom to explore their musical
imagination on the guitar and the opportunity to learn to play with other
people. We are going to jam and rock n’ roll with the Beatles, AC/DC, Guns n’
Roses, Eric Clapton, Dave Matthew, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple etc.
while learning chords and notes. The students are encouraged to bring their
songs on cds or mp3 players. At the end of each session we are going to have a
jamming recital!!!
Beginner class will focus on learning the basic chords and the flow of
the music.
Intermediate class will focus on learning the rhythms and the basic
scales.
Advanced class will focus on theory, ear training, and the delicacy of
improvisation. Classes will be grouped by similar age and musical knowledge.
Classes have 3 – 4 students of similar ages with comparable levels of musical knowledge
Each class meets
weekly for a ½ hour
Cost: $210 / quarter (3 months)
+ a one time $10 materials fee
(everything required for class EXCEPT your child’s instrument is covered by this fee)
Monthly Tuition plans are available at a rate of $18.75/class
(Example: a 4-week month = $75)

Chi Lee, Instructor
Chi Lee is an established guitar instructor and musician around Boston and a current instructor at four different schools including ones in the Cambridge Public Schools. He has earned a Graduate Diploma at the New England Conservatory of Music after completing his Master of Music from Longy School of Music and Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music. Chi has studied and played with some of the best players in the world including Charlie Banacos, George Garzone, John Lockwood, Bob “Rakalam” Moses, Ben Monder, Michael Cain, Mick Goodrick.
